The Chief Guest addressed the students, inspiring them with valuable insights on leadership and discipline. The programme was enriched with melodious songs, cultural performances and acceptance speeches by the School Captain and Sports Captain.

FELICITATION CEREMONY- Grade 6-11
Delhi Public School, Mysuru, organised a grand Felicitation Ceremony to honour the outstanding academic achievers of the academic year 2025-26. The event celebrated the hard work, perseverance, and excellence of students who excelled in academics and brought laurels to the school.

Celebrating Childhood
Delhi Public School, Mysore, proudly hosted the Felicitation Ceremony 2026 on 4th July to celebrate the outstanding achievements of students from Grades I to V. The ceremony honoured Subject Toppers, Class Toppers, Overall Toppers, All Rounders, students with 100% Attendance and SOF awardees recognising their dedication, perseverance and commitment to excellence.
The programme began with a warm welcome song. The event witnessed an overwhelming response from parents, who expressed immense pride and happiness as they watched their children receive their awards. VAN MAHOTSAV
As part of the Van Mahotsav celebrations, the Grade 2 students enthusiastically participated in a seed-sowing activity. They sowed seeds and learned that plants play an important role in keeping our environment clean and healthy. The activity helped students understand the importance of trees and inspired them to care for nature and contribute towards a greener future.
The Kindergarten students celebrated Vanamahotsava by creating and decorating their own pots with paint, adding sand and seeds and watering them with care. Through this hands-on seed sowing activity, they learned the importance of planting trees and protecting nature. The activity inspired creativity, environmental awareness and a love for greenery.

INTERNATIONAL PLASTIC BAG FREE DAY
As part of International Plastic Bag Free Day, the Grade 1 students took part in a meaningful awareness activity by watching an educational movie on the importance of reducing plastic bag usage. The short movie helped them understand how plastic pollution affects animals, plants and our environment.
The session inspired the young learners to adopt simple eco-friendly practices, such as using reusable cloth bags and avoiding single-use plastic bags. The activity encouraged students to become responsible citizens and take small steps towards creating a cleaner, greener and healthier planet.

DOCTOR’S DAY
Our Kindergarten students celebrated Doctor’s Day with great enthusiasm through a fun and creative craft activity. The celebration helped them understand the valuable role doctors play in keeping us healthy and safe. Through hands-on learning the children expressed their gratitude and appreciation for our healthcare heroes. It was a joyful and meaningful experience that inspired kindness, care and respect.

WORKSHOP ON DESIGN THINKING
A Samsung Solve for Tomorrow – Design Thinking Workshop was conducted for the Grade 9 students at Delhi Public School. The workshop aimed to introduce students to the principles of Design Thinking and encourage them to develop innovative, technology-driven solutions to real-world problems.
The session began with an overview of the significance of the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow program. Students were informed that the program is a national innovation initiative supported by IIT Delhi, the Ministry of Education, AIM–NITI Aayog, and DPIIT. They also learned about the program’s four focus areas: AI for Living, Health and Education, Sports and Technology, and Environmental Sustainability.
The Samsung facilitators conducted an engaging and interactive session, guiding students through understanding users’ needs, identifying problems, brainstorming creative ideas, and developing innovative solutions. Students actively participated in discussions and activities throughout the workshop.
At the end of the session, a few students shared their feedback and expressed that the workshop had inspired them to think creatively and solve real-life challenges through innovation and technology.
Students were also encouraged to participate in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow competition, and they were informed that guidance regarding idea selection, registration, and project submission would be available at the Tinkering Lab.

A SPLASH OF RED AND JOY
Our students joyfully celebrated Red Day by engaging in various fun-filled activities. They sorted red colour objects, enjoyed colouring red-themed pictures and made red items using clay. The highlight was reinforcing the shape “circle” through their healthy snacks, making learning both interactive and delicious. The day was filled with colour, creativity and cheerful learning.

The 4th edition of DM-MUN brought together over 250 delegates from 10 schools for a dynamic exchange of ideas and solutions. Featuring simulations of UNGA, UNSC, DISEC, WTO, UNHRC, AIPPM and IPC, the event opened with the State Anthem, lamp lighting and a dance performance. Thought-provoking debates and impactful resolutions echoed pressing global issues. Concluding with a vibrant award ceremony, DM-MUN 2025 stood as a powerful platform for fostering leadership, critical thinking and global awareness among the youth.

World Bicycle Day
World Bicycle Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm by our Kindergarten students at DPSM. The day began with a short and engaging talk by the teacher, who explained the importance of cycling. INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
Delhi Public School, Mysore celebrated the International Day of Yoga with great enthusiasm and active participation across all grades. The students of Nursery performed simple yoga asanas in the turf area, creating a joyful and calming atmosphere. The 69th Kannada Rajyothsava celebration at Delhi Public School, Mysore, took place on 22nd November 2024 with great enthusiasm on the school premises. On June 5, 2023, the staff and students came together to celebrate World Environment Day under the theme #Beat Plastic Pollution. During this event, all students and teachers pledged their commitment to take steps towards making our planet Earth plastic-free and greener. The objective was to foster renewed support for environmental concerns, and various class-wise activities were conducted to achieve this.
The NCC Wing of DPSM, belonging to the 13th Kar Battalion, led efforts in cleaning Varuna Lake and organized an Awareness Rally near Mysore Palace. Additionally, the Scouts and Guides of DPSM actively participated in an Environment Awareness Rally.

On June 12, 2023, a special assembly with the theme “G20 India” was held at DPS Mysore to educate and raise awareness about the G-20. The event featured the unveiling of India’s logo design for the year 2023-24, centered around the theme “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” drawn from ancient Hindu scriptures, which integrates India’s ancient culture with modern practices.

Delhi Public School Mysore (DPSM) ensures the provision of safe and reliable transportation services for its students. A fleet of new and fully equipped buses covers all major routes within a 50-kilometer radius in the Mysuru district, offering secure transportation to and from the school.
The keys to these new buses were officially handed over by Mr. Laxman A. Panchpande, Retail Business Head of Eicher Trucks and Buses, to Mr. Aqeeb Khan, Director of DPS Mysore, and Ms. Manju Sharma, Director-Principal of DPS Mysore.
DPSM takes road safety very seriously and has taken measures to ensure it. Each bus is staffed with well-trained, trustworthy, and punctual drivers and courteous bus attendants. Additionally, the buses are equipped with essential safety features, including fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, and speed governors.
The partnership between DPS Mysore and Eicher represents a progressive step towards prosperity, solidifying a strong bond focused on the well-being and safety of the students.

At Delhi Public School-Mysore, we prioritize keeping parents informed about their child’s performance and other activities at school. The orientation program at DPSM was conducted in segments on different dates.
Parents of all students were invited and provided with a comprehensive overview of all school processes. This allowed parents to gain a deeper understanding of their child’s daily experiences at school. The orientation program concluded on a positive note, with the shared goal of nurturing students into happy, skillful, and creatively well-adjusted global citizens.

Movies can serve as a break for children from their daily routines, offering them a sense of freedom from their regular activities. When children watch movies, their brains release stress hormones and replace them with endorphins, which contribute to a happier emotional state. Watching movies can also play a role in the development of children’s cognitive skills, including the formation of long-term memory, the ability to maintain focus, and the development of logic, reasoning, as well as visual and auditory processes.
The students of Delhi Public School – Mysore, ranging from Grade 1 to 12, had the opportunity to watch “Spiderman – The Spider-Verse” at PVR, Nexus City Centre on June 14th and 15th, 2023. This movie experience also aids in the development of linguistic skills, fosters imagination, and enhances creativity.
The day concluded with plenty of smiles and valuable learning experiences for the students.

March 10, 2023, marked a special morning as our school prepared to welcome the 9th-grade students and their parents for the Orientation Program for the academic year 2023-24. The primary objective of this program was to inform parents and students about the academic aspects, school rules and regulations, and to encourage parental involvement in monitoring students’ discipline, performance, and progress.
Director-Principal Mrs. Manju Sharma extended a warm welcome to the gathering, assuring them of the school’s commitment to shaping students into valuable members of society. She also emphasized the importance of parental contributions in nurturing their children. The presentation highlighted the aspects and significance of the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the school’s readiness to meet the standards set by CBSE guidelines.
Mrs. Leena Anthony delivered a presentation on the assessment process, the benefits of various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, and how academic learning contributes to students’ overall development. She stressed the importance of collaborative efforts between parents and the school to maintain discipline among students.
A session was conducted by Allen Coaching Centre, a partner of DPSM, to prepare students for competitive exams such as NTSE and Olympiad, emphasizing effective exam preparation.
The parents and students were briefed on the school’s code of conduct. School counselors Mrs. Bhavana Srikanth and Mrs. Namrata Chaturvedi discussed adolescent issues with parents and various approaches to address them.
Overall, it was an enriching session for both students and parents, setting the tone for a successful academic year ahead.

Delhi Public School, Mysore organized an orientation program for the students of grade 10 and their parents on March 8, 2023. The primary objective of the program was to inform parents and students about academic aspects and reinforce the institution’s rules and regulations, ensuring parental participation in monitoring students’ performance and progress.
Director-Principal, Ms. Manju Sharma, warmly welcomed the parents and assured them of the school’s commitment to their child’s overall growth and development. The senior mistress, Ms. Meena Rai, also presided over the event. The program also focused on acquainting parents with the class framework, assessment process, and evaluation pattern under CBSE guidelines.
A representative from the Allen Institute briefed students about the courses available at the institution for competitive exams like NTSE and Olympiad. He emphasized the benefits of participating in these exams, which enhance analytical and decision-making skills.
The school counselor, Ms. Namrata Chaturvedi, spoke about the importance of mental health and encouraged parents to appreciate their children and motivate them towards success. The Orientation Program aimed to ensure that parents and students are well-informed and comfortable about the upcoming academic year 2023-24 for class 10, and this objective was successfully achieved.

An orientation program was organized for the students and parents of class XII at DPSM on March 9, 2023. The program began with a warm welcome from Director Principal Mrs. Manju Sharma, who greeted the students and their parents and congratulated them on entering the final year of their school life. She emphasized the need for open communication and cooperation between the school and parents.
Mr. Roshan Sawhil delivered a presentation, briefing them about the various rules and regulations of the school, including the dress code, attendance policies, and academic expectations. He also introduced the teachers and staff members and highlighted the various departments and facilities available at the school.
Following Mr. Sawhil’s presentation, the school counselor, Namrata Chaturvedi, conducted a counseling session for the students and their parents. She stressed the importance of good behavior and discipline and encouraged students to seek help and support from the school whenever they faced personal or academic challenges.
Next, a session was conducted by the Allen Coaching Centre, one of the leading coaching institutes in the country. Allen teachers provided an overview of the JEE and NEET entrance exams, emphasizing the importance of effective exam preparation.
The teachers also provided information on the various study materials and resources available at Allen, including their online learning platform, practice tests, and doubt-clearing sessions. They urged students to make use of these resources and work diligently toward their goals.
Finally, the orientation day concluded with a Q&A session, allowing students and parents to ask any questions they had about the school, counseling, or coaching resources.
Overall, the orientation day was a great success, providing students and their parents with valuable information and insights into the academic and behavioral expectations of the school.
