DPSM kindergarteners celebrated the beauty of blooms through Petal Panache, exploring the national flowers of India, Japan, Dubai, Malaysia and Bhutan.
The event featured poetry recitations, a vibrant floral fashion show and engaging activities that brought learning to life. Parents added charm by participating in a floral fashion show, ikebana and floral rangoli.

On Saturday, 25th January 2025, DPSM buzzed with excitement as students of Grades III to V showcased their creativity, knowledge, and innovation in a spectacular exhibition titled “The World of Wonder and Wisdom.”

GRADUATION CEREMONY
The Graduation Ceremony for Class XII students of Delhi Public School, Mysore, held on December 20, 2024, was a heartfelt celebration of achievements, memories, and aspirations. The Blessing Ceremony for Grade 10 students, preparing for their upcoming Board Examinations, was held on Saturday, 18th January 2025, with great enthusiasm and reverence. The meticulously planned event inspired students and instilled gratitude and confidence.

Delhi Public School Mysore, in its steadfast commitment to preserving and promoting India’s rich cultural heritage, continues to foster appreciation for the intangible treasures of our traditions. KARNATAKA RAJYOTSAVA
The 69th Kannada Rajyothsava celebration at Delhi Public School, Mysore, took place on 22nd November 2024 with great enthusiasm on the school premises. On 25th and 26th July 2024, Delhi Public School – Mysore hosted the 3rd edition of DM-MUN, bringing together over 200 delegates from 10 schools. The event featured simulations of committees like UNGA, DISEC, SOCHUM, CCC, UNHRC, AIPPM, and IPC. The day began with a warm welcome to our esteemed guests, Ms. Pallavi K. M., an International Para Olympic Badminton Champion and Ms. Kushi, an International Yoga Exponent. MANAH PARV 2024
The mental health awareness conclave -Manah Parv 2024 focusing on the mental wellbeing of adolescents, was held on 18th Oct’ 24 at Delhi Public School Mysore, organised by the Peer Educator’s Council of the school. The event aimed to spread awareness about the importance about the importance of mental health among students and to equip them with practical tools to cope with mental health challenges. The daylong event featured guest talks by experts, interactive workshops, panel discussions, student led activities, competitions and cultural programmes like dance and songs by students.
The event commenced with an inspiring keynote address by Dr Rushi, the Chief guest of the day, HOD Clinical Psychology at AIISH, Mysore, a renowned psychologist specialising in adolescent mental health. Dr Rushi spoke about the common mental health challenges faced by adolescents, such as anxiety, depression, and peer pressure. Another prominent guest, Ms Shilpa Somanathan, a clinical therapist, discussed strategies fro maintaining mental wellbeing, effect of social media and encouraged students to seek help without hesitation.
One of the highlights of the conclave was the panel discussion featuring mental health professionals, educators, and student representatives. The topic being, “Mental health in Schools: Building a supportive environment”.
A most thought provoking and engaging workshop was conducted by Mr Mayank Solanki, on Conflict Resolution which saw all the adolescents interacting and participating actively in the discussion.

The events were Cine Challenge, Power point presentation, Poster making, Nukkad Natak and Speak up. The 76th Republic Day was celebrated with grandeur and patriotic fervor at Delhi Public School Mysore. The event began with the hoisting of the tricolor by the esteemed Director-Principal, Mrs. Manju Sharma, who inspired the gathering with her words of wisdom and pride for the nation.

On June 5, 2023, the staff and students came together to celebrate World Environment Day under the theme #Beat Plastic Pollution. During this event, all students and teachers pledged their commitment to take steps towards making our planet Earth plastic-free and greener. The objective was to foster renewed support for environmental concerns, and various class-wise activities were conducted to achieve this.
The NCC Wing of DPSM, belonging to the 13th Kar Battalion, led efforts in cleaning Varuna Lake and organized an Awareness Rally near Mysore Palace. Additionally, the Scouts and Guides of DPSM actively participated in an Environment Awareness Rally.

The year 2023 commemorates the 53rd anniversary of Earth Day, celebrated under the theme ‘Invest in Our Planet.’ At DPSM, we took the initiative to inspire students to actively participate in environmentally-conscious practices and sensitize them to the importance of environmental protection and conservation.
To promote these values, we encouraged students to participate in a virtual poster design competition with the theme ‘Our Beautiful Mother Earth.’ Remarkably, even during the summer vacation, students participated with great enthusiasm. On June 12, 2023, a special assembly with the theme “G20 India” was held at DPS Mysore to educate and raise awareness about the G-20. The event featured the unveiling of India’s logo design for the year 2023-24, centered around the theme “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” drawn from ancient Hindu scriptures, which integrates India’s ancient culture with modern practices.

At Delhi Public School, Mysore, the most colorful and vibrant festival of India – Holi, was celebrated with a splash of colors. On March 8, 2023, the atmosphere was filled with fun and enthusiasm as the staff came together to celebrate this lively festival.
Teachers were pleasantly surprised when their male colleagues decided to celebrate Women’s Day with cake cutting and distributing roses. The entire school was touched by this thoughtful gesture from the men of the school.
In line with eco-friendly and global practices, the school arranged for safe organic herbal Holi colors. The academic courtyard was a lively gathering of excited teachers who joyfully sprinkled colors on each other. Holi commemorates the victory of good over evil, symbolized by the burning and destruction of the demon named Holika.
Principal Mrs. Manju Sharma emphasized that Holi is a festival of new hope, new beginnings, and new opportunities. She encouraged everyone to forget, forgive, and start afresh, using only organic colors. The DPSM staff welcomed spring, the season of hope, with songs, dances, and bright colors, which were the highlights of this vivid and lively festival. The day concluded with a double celebration, marking Women’s Day and Holi.

Delhi Public School Mysore (DPSM) ensures the provision of safe and reliable transportation services for its students. A fleet of new and fully equipped buses covers all major routes within a 50-kilometer radius in the Mysuru district, offering secure transportation to and from the school.
The keys to these new buses were officially handed over by Mr. Laxman A. Panchpande, Retail Business Head of Eicher Trucks and Buses, to Mr. Aqeeb Khan, Director of DPS Mysore, and Ms. Manju Sharma, Director-Principal of DPS Mysore.
DPSM takes road safety very seriously and has taken measures to ensure it. Each bus is staffed with well-trained, trustworthy, and punctual drivers and courteous bus attendants. Additionally, the buses are equipped with essential safety features, including fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, and speed governors.
The partnership between DPS Mysore and Eicher represents a progressive step towards prosperity, solidifying a strong bond focused on the well-being and safety of the students.

During this auspicious month, the school inaugurated a new state-of-the-art library, computer laboratory, and basketball court within its expansive campus. The inauguration ceremony was graced by Mr. Aqeeb Khan, the Director of the school, and Ms. Manju Sharma, the Director-Principal.

On June 28, 2023, Delhi Public School-Mysore witnessed a momentous Investiture Ceremony, during which deserving young talents were entrusted with the responsibility to lead their school with commitment, confidence, and competence. The ceremony was filled with enthusiasm and excitement, graced by esteemed guests, including Chief Guest Col. R. R. Menon, Group Commander, Mysore Group NCC, and Guest of Honour Gp Capt A. Chaturvedi. Ms. Mary Fatima, Principal of the School of India KR Pet, and our Director-Principal Mrs. Manju Sharma also lit the ceremonial lamp, marking the significance of the event.
The ceremony featured inspiring speeches, the symbolic pinning of badges, draping of sashes, handing over of flags, and captivating cultural performances. The newly appointed leaders expressed their heartfelt gratitude and pledged unwavering dedication to fulfilling their responsibilities.
As the ceremony concluded, a sense of unity filled the gathering, and voices harmoniously rose together to proudly sing the National Anthem. This symbolized their collective pride and commitment to their school and nation.

“Remember” our martyrs by revisiting their sacrifices, “rejoice” by celebrating the victory in Kargil, and “renew” our resolve to safeguard the honor of the tricolor. Patriotism is a social value, and the feeling of patriotism should be instilled at the school level to ensure that students become responsible citizens of our nation.
Kargil Vijay Diwas is commemorated every year on July 26th to celebrate India’s victory and pay tribute to the brave hearts of the war. A special assembly was conducted in the school to honor the sacrifice of the soldiers. The NCC cadets of DPS Mysore participated in the day’s celebration, organized by Nexus Centre City. They showcased their spirit of patriotism by singing a group song in remembrance of the war heroes who sacrificed their lives for our Motherland. The cadets also performed a dance drama depicting the life of Captain Vikram Batra PVC, an officer in the Indian Army who was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, the highest military decoration of the Republic of India, for his actions during the 1999 Kargil War. The cadets received well-deserved applause and appreciation for their performances.

At Delhi Public School-Mysore, we prioritize keeping parents informed about their child’s performance and other activities at school. The orientation program at DPSM was conducted in segments on different dates.
Parents of all students were invited and provided with a comprehensive overview of all school processes. This allowed parents to gain a deeper understanding of their child’s daily experiences at school. The orientation program concluded on a positive note, with the shared goal of nurturing students into happy, skillful, and creatively well-adjusted global citizens.

Movies can serve as a break for children from their daily routines, offering them a sense of freedom from their regular activities. When children watch movies, their brains release stress hormones and replace them with endorphins, which contribute to a happier emotional state. Watching movies can also play a role in the development of children’s cognitive skills, including the formation of long-term memory, the ability to maintain focus, and the development of logic, reasoning, as well as visual and auditory processes.
The students of Delhi Public School – Mysore, ranging from Grade 1 to 12, had the opportunity to watch “Spiderman – The Spider-Verse” at PVR, Nexus City Centre on June 14th and 15th, 2023. This movie experience also aids in the development of linguistic skills, fosters imagination, and enhances creativity.
The day concluded with plenty of smiles and valuable learning experiences for the students.

March 10, 2023, marked a special morning as our school prepared to welcome the 9th-grade students and their parents for the Orientation Program for the academic year 2023-24. The primary objective of this program was to inform parents and students about the academic aspects, school rules and regulations, and to encourage parental involvement in monitoring students’ discipline, performance, and progress.
Director-Principal Mrs. Manju Sharma extended a warm welcome to the gathering, assuring them of the school’s commitment to shaping students into valuable members of society. She also emphasized the importance of parental contributions in nurturing their children. The presentation highlighted the aspects and significance of the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the school’s readiness to meet the standards set by CBSE guidelines.
Mrs. Leena Anthony delivered a presentation on the assessment process, the benefits of various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, and how academic learning contributes to students’ overall development. She stressed the importance of collaborative efforts between parents and the school to maintain discipline among students.
A session was conducted by Allen Coaching Centre, a partner of DPSM, to prepare students for competitive exams such as NTSE and Olympiad, emphasizing effective exam preparation.
The parents and students were briefed on the school’s code of conduct. School counselors Mrs. Bhavana Srikanth and Mrs. Namrata Chaturvedi discussed adolescent issues with parents and various approaches to address them.
Overall, it was an enriching session for both students and parents, setting the tone for a successful academic year ahead.

Delhi Public School, Mysore organized an orientation program for the students of grade 10 and their parents on March 8, 2023. The primary objective of the program was to inform parents and students about academic aspects and reinforce the institution’s rules and regulations, ensuring parental participation in monitoring students’ performance and progress.
Director-Principal, Ms. Manju Sharma, warmly welcomed the parents and assured them of the school’s commitment to their child’s overall growth and development. The senior mistress, Ms. Meena Rai, also presided over the event. The program also focused on acquainting parents with the class framework, assessment process, and evaluation pattern under CBSE guidelines.
A representative from the Allen Institute briefed students about the courses available at the institution for competitive exams like NTSE and Olympiad. He emphasized the benefits of participating in these exams, which enhance analytical and decision-making skills.
The school counselor, Ms. Namrata Chaturvedi, spoke about the importance of mental health and encouraged parents to appreciate their children and motivate them towards success. The Orientation Program aimed to ensure that parents and students are well-informed and comfortable about the upcoming academic year 2023-24 for class 10, and this objective was successfully achieved.

The program began with a warm welcome from Director Principal Mrs. Manju Sharma, who greeted the students and their parents and congratulated them on entering the final year of their school life. Mr. Roshan Sawhil delivered a presentation, briefing them about the various rules and regulations of the school, including the dress code, attendance policies, and academic expectations. He also introduced the teachers and staff members and highlighted the various departments and facilities available at the school.
Following Mr. Sawhil’s presentation, the school counselor, Namrata Chaturvedi, conducted a counseling session for the students and their parents. She stressed the importance of good behavior and discipline and encouraged students to seek help and support from the school whenever they faced personal or academic challenges.
Next, a session was conducted by the Allen Coaching Centre, one of the leading coaching institutes in the country. Allen teachers provided an overview of the JEE and NEET entrance exams, emphasizing the importance of effective exam preparation.
The teachers also provided information on the various study materials and resources available at Allen, including their online learning platform, practice tests, and doubt-clearing sessions. They urged students to make use of these resources and work diligently toward their goals.
Finally, the orientation day concluded with a Q&A session, allowing students and parents to ask any questions they had about the school, counseling, or coaching resources.
