Delhi Public School – Mysore takes immense pride to announce that Navodit, a Grade 9 student of DPSM, beating a tough competition from other schools, secured the 1st place in the Inter School Shooting competition conducted by Supreme Public School, Mysore.

We live in a world, where everything has become extraordinarily advanced and children are one step ahead of us. Some children have just wowed the world with their extraordinary abilities.
Kiara M. N., a Grade 5 student of our school has achieved a remarkable feat at the age of 8 years and 1 month. On February 18, 2021, she astounded everyone by reciting 19 multiplication tables from 2 to 20 in just 4 minutes and 56 seconds. Her incredible accomplishment was duly recognized by the “India Book Of Records.” This extraordinary achievement was officially confirmed on July 14, 2023.
Sport has the power to change lives. The ability to drive gender equality by teaching women and girls teamwork, self-reliance, resilience and confidence. Women in sport defy gender stereotypes and social norms, make inspiring role models, and show men and women as equals. In one of a kind competition held at Chamundi Vihar Stadium – Khelo India State Wushu Women’s League, Manha Mehvish, a Grade 6 student of Delhi Public School – Mysore has secured the Silver Medal in the under 27 category. In the same competition, Alina Asad of Grade 3 also won a silver medal in the under 27 category.

A workshop was organised at Delhi Public School Mysore on 3rd July 2023, by the Career and Guidance cell of the school. Ms Shibani Rachel of ‘My Master’s Strokes’ was invited to let the secondary and senior secondary children get familiarised with the world of design, creativity, interiors and architecture.
The workshop was taken up in two sessions, wherein a ‘Design Challenge’ competition was conducted. This entailed letting the students create their own creative and unique masterpieces on themes selected and shared in advance, like Halloween toy, a horror alien, a home décor product that looks normal but gets transformed into a scary product. Children participated whole heartedly and enthusiastically in this competition and many prizes were distributed to the winners by the Director Principal, Ms. Manju Sharma.
The second session involved an interactive career guidance and counselling session, where the various options in the field of design, interiors, jewellery designing, apparel designing and architecture were discussed and explained. Many queries of the children regarding the exams to clear and subject combinations were clarified by Ms Shibani.
Both the sessions were extremely well received by the students and many of them were motivated to get acquainted with even further information regarding the field of design.
A State level P E T non- medalist swimming competition, was held at Mandya on 27th August 2023.

Namrata R. of Grade 8 secured a Gold medal in 100 m Butterfly, 1 Silver medal in 50 m Butterfly and 1 Bronze medal in 200m Individual Medley.
Fariyal of 2nd standard has achieved 3rd place in back stroke, 2nd place in 50m freestyle and 2nd place in 25m freestyle.
Pavak Arya, also of 2nd standard achieved 1st place in 4×25m relay and 2nd place in 25m backstroke.

Vatsal P. of Grade 10, has made us proud by securing the second place in the State Level Open Karate Championship, Mysuru in the Under 16 boys category.

Delhi Public School Mysore, believes in students exploring all sports. Our master swimmer, Prerith K.R. of Grade 10 participated in the State Level Age Group Non Medalist Swimming Competition organised by the Hassan Swimmers Club (R). With sheer dedication, hard work and untiring energy, Prerith competed exceptionally well and made the school proud by winning the 3rd prize in the 100 mts Freestyle, 50 mts Freestyle and 50 mts Fly in the tournament.

It is our pleasure to announce that Namrata R. a Grade VIII student of Delhi Public School, Mysore has excelled yet again, by securing a silver medal at the 6th National Level, 6th Mixed Martial Arts event held at Lucknow recently. Mixed Martial Arts is a full-contact combat sport based on striking, grappling and ground fighting, incorporating techniques from various combat sports from around the world. For many people, martial arts is an integral part of life. People practice martial arts as a sport, a hobby, an artistic expression or a regimen for physical, mental and emotional well-being. Skills learned in the study of martial arts can be applied in other aspects of life.
Namrata is also an aspiring equestrian and a national level swimmer who has won numerous awards.We wish Namrata all the best for future challenges and hope that her hard work will help to better her position in the arena.
Chess holds its master in its own bonds, shackling the mind and brain.
Chess is one of the games, which very few can master. Lakshit.D of Grade 2 studying at Delhi Public School – Mysore has won many such accolades. He has secured the first place in the Akshayakalpa Organic Karnataka State Under 11 Open Fide Rated Chess Championship 2023. He has also secured the First Place in the Under 7 Chess Tournament organised by Rotary Mysore North. Currently Lakshit is preparing for the Karnataka State Under 7 Chess Championship by Karnataka State Chess Association, supported by The Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Government of Karnataka.
We wish Lakshit the very best in all his upcoming tournaments.

Mysuru District Master Athletics and Mysuru District Athletic Association had jointly organised ‘RMM Vijayalakshmi Narayanasingh Memorial Road Race – Run for Health’, an athletic event on Sunday, May 28th, 2023. The students and teachers of Delhi Public School, Mysore avidly participated in the event. Mohammed Zain Ullah secured the second place in the under 14 category. Team DPSM congratulates Zain on his incredible success.

Win or learn, never lose’
We teach our children just not to win but also to learn when they lose.
The current generation has exposure to the opportunities the world can offer. To work on their aptitude as well as attitude towards learning, allowing them to trigger their interest in multiple subjects. The students of Grades 1 to 12 at Delhi Public School, Mysore are encouraged to take up external exams conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation in various subjects like Math, G.K, Science, SSt, Company Secretary and Cyber. Our school takes pride in educating our students beyond text books.
In addition to the Exams, Girl Child Scholarship Scheme (GCSS) was also introduced by SOF in order to reward and support economically weak children. Nihal M. of Grade V has been awarded Rs. 5,000 under this Scholarship Scheme.
This is the eighth scholarship our school has received under GCSS scheme since 2015.
