Teachers and Students celebrated Children’s Day this year virtually. From dance preparations to plays, a plethora of activities were streamed by teachers for the students on Friday, 13th November 2020 — a day before Children’s Day on Saturday. We at DPSM did not want to deny our students of the day that is meant specially for them and decided to hold early celebrations this year as the day coincides with Diwali. It was a vibrant experience for the students.

Alongside the Children’s Day celebration, Diwali the festival of lights which is celebrated in various regions across India was also celebrated in Delhi Public School on the same day with great verve. To make the students understand the importance of Diwali an array of activities like wall hanging making, eco-friendly diya making and diya decoration were taken up. The teachers explained the importance of Diwali, the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil, and hope over despair.

Both Teachers and students enjoyed the Diwali celebrations wholeheartedly
